No June gloom here. The Pen Jabs met in Balboa Park at the Japanese Pavilion again, some of us took the location more seriously than others - note the picture. We gained a new member, one Suzi Maley, who is writing a memoir. |

Pauline Hager, Joe Naiman, me, Linda Meckler, Suzi Maley, and LinDee Rochelle lined up for the photo-op. We spent the better part of the day gabbing about ventures gained and lost. Pauline is in the throws of getting a book about a Greek hero published or throwing the publisher the bird. It was hard to tell what was going to transpire. Joe has his baseball book done. I started a new story about a sax player, Linda is turning out more e-articles, Suzi digging up old bones in her genealogy, and LinDee is editing into the wee hours of the night to turn a few bucks.
What amazed me is no heads were turned by a man walking around in a kimono carrying a samurai sword. If you have suggestions for the group or would like to join us, email John Wolf at johhwolf.lobo@gmail.com. |
