July was vacation month, so here we are in August. Several calamities came together to lessen our numbers, but the strong overcame them.

Pauline Hager, Yana Berlin, Linda Meckler, me lined up for the photo-op.

We started out in Kate Sessions Park, where the view is spectacular, but ended up at Pauline's as witnessed by the photo. Our main focus was with Yana Berlin. She told us about her website called Fabulously40.com. This is a site for women 40 and older that want a place to chat and be heard like teenagers have MySpace and Facebook. Yana is also very supportive of writers and provides another place to have books seen and reviewed. She also suggested we check out PRWeb.com for press release information.

Pauline introduced us to a book titled "Writing the Breakout Novel." Looks like a good one. I'm reading it now.

My wife and I just returned from a trip around the Mediterranean and I showed a DVD of our pictures. We had a lengthy discussion of the writers life and missed our friends, who would have been there but for their busy lives. We will probably moved back to a pub for the next meeting. We work best in a room with the aroma of ale.
