Here is an article from John Wolf:

October - the time to reflect on our blessings or curses if you live under a cloud. The Pen Jabs met once again to share our writing experience. Enjoy.

John Wolf, Pauline Hager, and LinDee Rochelle lined up for the photo-op at the Shakespeare Pub.

LinDee was full of news for the meeting. Infinity will be sponsoring a new service soon called "Ask-an-Expert" that will focus on publishing and writing. You get to query experts in the field for all your digs and puzzlements.

Also, Infinity will participate on a cruise in early January for the seafaring writer out of San Diego. Click here for the cruise application form and details. The sponsor is the International Food Wine and Travel Writers Association, but you don't have to be a travel writer to go. In fact, tell them you are an Infinity published author and see what happens. Put away some cash in the cookie jar for this. In fact, this is your big chance to become a travel author. Write up the trip while enjoying the Margaritas.

Also, big news from Infinity. If you ever wanted to publish, here's the perfect Holiday gift idea. Infinity will be discounting the cost of their basic publishing package significantly for the Holidays. This offer will be extended to friends of Infinity authors, so give a special publishing Gift Certificate to your favorite author – even if it’s yourself! This will be announced officially in November. Watch for the news on their website and newsletter.

Speaking of expert advice, check out HelpAReporterOut.com. This is a site to get answers, well and give them as well. You get queries sent to you. If you can answer something, you do a service to your fellow man and get to spread the word of your area of expertise. This is one of those ever expanding, in the media things, that can lead to excellent exposure for an author and at the same time provide answers to your research on things hard to find.

The Wolf-man had a couple of items to report. His short story "Earth Dogs" has been selected by Mirage Publishing to be included in a book they intend to publish featuring these stories sent in from around the world. The company is based in India and plans to distribute there. It will be exciting if this far flung type of promo will bring a new audience to his books. Also, his books are now being included in the Target online book shopping catalog and there have been sales through Amazon's Kindle Reader. Slowly but surely, the turtle said.

As usual the company was nice, the day was beautiful, and the atmosphere at Shakespeare’s was great. Hope to see you all out there next time.
