January 2009 - the time to reflect on our blessings or curses if you live under a cloud. The Pen Jabs met once again to share our writing experience. Enjoy.

Linda Meckler, John Wolf, LinDee Rochelle, Erica Miner, and Joe Naiman lined up for the photo-op at the Shakespeare Pub.

There were two others at the meeting that I fail to get in the photo: Irene DesGeorges and Lina Patterson.

Out theme this time was video taping author interviews. We can with questions that could be used for interviews and discussed what is important to say in an interview. Also, we hit on ways to do this affordably. Locations were mentioned. We came up with two. The Athenium Library in La Jolla and the Savanna Terrace Condos in Saber Springs. They have a library room that has the appropreate book background.

As usual the food and chat displaced a lot of discussion on how to video tape these interviews, but that's okay. We had a lot of fun.

Unfortunately, the parking lot at Shakespeare's was blocked and we had to park on the street. The ticket patrol was out and I got zinged for not cocking my wheels on a slope - argh.

We concluded with assignments to Erica to pursue the Athenium Library contacts and I will work on Saber Springs. Also, we all should write up our interview storyboards in preparation for a taping.
