Dear John,
First let me say that I have noted tremendous growth in your self-editing, which has improved the mechanics of your writing. congratulations there. As for creativity, you have allways been tops in that department. As for "Of Beryl and Alabaster", if I can help by reading "a few chapters to help polish the final opus", I'd be glad to pitch in. I did the same thing with my book, Sex, Lies and Cosmetic Surgery second go around, and farmed it out to some of my more literate friends - a few chapters each - and found that they came up with some really helpful input.
Good luck. One of these days I am going to be able to say: "I knew him when"!
Very best,

Jack,
You out did yourself, what a plot. It is amazing how our lives change with the
passing of a loved one.

My goodness, Jack!
I always begin with the "Buzz" when I come to Fox and Quill. I expect to find your latest exploits into the humor and satire that has grown to be my favorite of your many skills of pen. You disappointed me this time! Instead of my usual anticipated foray into some levity, I discover yet another glowing talent! You're a great book reviewer and essayist too!?!
I really think you have to cease and desist from all this flamboyance! After all, the burden placed us on the rest of us struggling authors to extoll such diversity is becoming a daunting quest!! Can we get a little mercy?? :))
Hmmmm . . . Maybe it's the Mediterranean salt air and dust from the ancient cities. Naaah. Had to be the skinny dipping. ;)
(Great review and the new book plot sounds intriguing.)
Susan . . . The rainy day person.
May you always have rainbows!
