"Buzz - iTax"

Jack,

Thanks for your informative article regarding those renegade assembly members in Sacramento wanting to impose a new iTax on digital downloads. They are constantly trying to squeeze more money out of us taxpayers, with their nefarious schemes, even though they collect billion of dollars in taxes each year. In spite of this, California has a 13 billion dollar deficit so far this year. WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

I just sent an e-mail to my State Assemblyman George Plescia, telling him to vote NO if it should come up for a vote. I also asked him, WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

Thanks again, Jack, and keep up the good work. Maybe you should become an investigative reporter???

Wow Wolfman

This sounds more complicated than a Florida referendum! I have determined that when any legislative body writes a proposed piece of legislation they purposely write it so that it can't be understood by anyone and it will contain so many if, ands, ors and buts, that no matter how you vote or don't vote on it, THEY will get what they want. It's written that way to insure that fact.

Amazing. I've found that checking the sample ballot listed in the local paper that always tells which things the county IS recommending is a way of deciding what to vote against. If the county backs it, it's gonna cost me money. If they don't, it's gonna help the residents. Whatever works, right? Nuther thing that sometimes works . . . If it sounds like you should vote yes, vote NO. If no, vote YES. But they\'ll probably catch on to that pretty soon and start making it multiple choice. I'll let you know if I figure that one out. :))

Great issue! I'm probably the rare beast, but I like seeing the politics being discussed. After all, journalism and essay writing is a form of writing too!
