It is great to heard from a sage person that's been there. Nuance, by its nature, is so subtle, and yet, powerful. It probably is the quality mortar a good writer uses to hold a story together. I have experience the power of reading out loud my manuscripts and how quickly that will pick up flawed nuance. All good stuff for writers to keep in mind.
