"The Slush Pile"

Russ,

I've been in one pile or another all my life. Dog pile, wood pile, and now a slush pile. There is only one answer to this publishing blues and that's start our own company where slush piles count. At enough fruity flavors and slush can taste pretty good.

Russ, thanks for the truth about the publishers. I have self-published 2 books. I do not feel bad now. I did try submitting my manuscripts but it cost a fortune in postage, paper, and copying. Now all that wasted money can be put to the real purpose of having my book published and start selling it immediately.

Thanks for the info. Linda Meckler

Russ, your article reminds me of the bad old days, when I wasted time, paper and postage, writing to agents and publishers. I finally wised up and contacted Infinity. Thanks for the memories.

Sad, but so true. No wonder the Indies are such a rapidly expanding lot. I just pray that these authors take the time to produce quality content with carefully edited work so they don\'t bring us all down. We want to be proud of our name, not lurking in the shadows.
