The times, they are a changin'... Where's Dylan when you need him. Irresponsibility is the sign of the times. From the 60 Mins interview on TV last night, it may turn out the BP chiefs on that rig that blew up deliberately overruled warnings of a broken isolator valve from the rig's crew and decided to dangerously drill until the explosion was the result, because they wanted to save time over safety. And it looks like they have another rig that ignored signing off on critical construction drawings. Greed and arrogance is a dangerous combination.

Hi Shirley,
Is there anyone who doesn't have that "Don't I wish" list? I could see myself in almost every bulleted statement. It goes along with the "What if?" list, when one becomes occasionally introspective. Despite all the bumps in the road we have managed to get this far on our journey. And isn't it so that the journey is more important than the destination? Because the journey determines the outcome.
As Jack said, it's a very insightful and revealing article. I sincerely enjoyed it.
