"It's Inevitable"

Yo LinDee,

Wait 'til your 64. I'd write a poem, but forgot what I was going to say.

Entertaining article that I found all too easy to relate to. How many times and how many of us of us middle-aged - yes, I use the word with pride and without hesitation - experience the same thoughts and feelings? I enjoy being told I look "young" for my age but think, if only they could see my body under its disguise. I used to get a big kick out of being perceived as much younger in my fifties from behind or even at a distance after seeing look of surprise on younger men's faces. Like you, I look at all these young people and think how someday, middle-age will also creep up on them. One thing I do wonder is that whatever the age lengthening prognosis is, unhealthy habits abound that, added to the stress level of life currently, may have unforeseen aging effects that nothing can hold back.
