Bart,
Gotta tell ya, this brings back a lot of memories, not all of them bad. We had some great times as well. You communicated the feeling better than anything I've read so far. Great writing.

Love the title and the imagery! Even the black background adds to the mysterious mood. Great job, Bart and welcome to Fox and Quill.

Beautifully understated but very, very powerful piece, Bart. I'm pleased to see it again and I hope it gets to a much wider audience. I'm already looking forward to your book. And I always look forward to your readings. Thanks for being a part of our group.

Thank you, Bart and thank you, Jack for sharing this beautiful piece with the world. It's a time and an era that no American should be allowed to forget. War is a terrible thing and if it can be avoided, it should be. In my opinion, life is too valuable for such senseless waste of men for all but the last resort to defend our very shores.
It's a beautiful piece, Bart.

Beautifully written Bart. I know how you feel. I also have walked with the ghosts of my past along that beautiful granite wall, and still miss them everyday.

Wow, this is cool...I don't know if this is a review, I wouldn't change a thing...but I wanted to share that when I saw this wall, I was told that the reason it is below the level of the rest of the terrain is because of the national shame that surrounds it. Nice writing...
