"Border Crossings "

John, you did it again! Even though I'm not a sci-fi enthusiast, your story had me riveted to the screen, slowly inching forward in my chair, until I was perched on its very edge. The ending brought shivers up my spine. Hope I don't have nightmares tonight!

As usual Jack, your imagination has soared. Your suspenseful, science-fiction stories keep us clenched to our chairs, waiting for the next episode. You haven't disapointed us, although I must say, you really had me fooled this time. I thought this story was going to be about an illegal immigant, i.e. a Mexican, crossing the border. But that's too trite for Jack Wolf. Someone more esoteric was in the works, forewarning us mere mortals of the future. Keep up the good work. Try drinking Chamomile tea before bedtime to calm the mind.

Thanks for the story, Jack Wolf, author of Fantastic Tales.

Well, John, my 'fantasy' friend, of all your short stories shared here, this is the one that goes beyond 'a story' and tickles the profound. This one sat me back in my chair. What you are probably thinking is the tail end of a nightmare that lingers in the creative conscious that is 'imagination', is in truth, mine anyway, a vision into the "Big Picture". The Scheme of Things. The "House" is, indeed, burning. The 'folds' are real. Duality is a misconception. 2017 is a good possibility for the revelation. I think I'm using 2012 in my new novel. No matter, premise is the same. Bear in mind . . .

There is no lost, there is no found, only rainbows all around. Sometimes, they shows themselves as streaks of light through a portal.

My kudos, sir.
