Bessie Ciarcia has a new book:
Born in 1927 in Foxboro, Mass. Master’s Degree from Conn. State
Teacher’s College. Retired teacher, mother, grandmother, ‘Closet authoress’ of children’s stories and books,
6 (unpublished) novels, and a book of poetry. Happily married for
59 Loves to write anywhere, dancing, movies and travel. She also makes
time to do volunteer work in a church library and Divides her time, between camping summers in Massachusetts, and ‘snow birding’ in New Port Richey, Florida. About the book: A handicapped man faces hopelessness. A woman fights for love; another is willing to lose her soul for vengeance. A dog opens up a whole new world. Believe me, this is kind of weird…Back in 97, I wrote this book about this crippled man who had myeloma and needed a stem cell transplant. Meanwhile my younger brother Loyd, a missionary to Thailand, retired last year to Idaho. This summer I decided to update my book. Then I learn that Loyd has myeloma and has gone through radiation and chemotherapy. By the end of the summer he’s learned he also needs a stem cell transplant. I have included much of his emails in the back of the book because the story parallels - his without a helping dog.
