Buzz - au fait A couple of books are about to make there way onto the scene. Both are from friends of our illustrious Fox&Quill group. First a companion piece to Susan Haley's wonderful story "Rainy Day People" called "Amber - Returns to Maine!" If you have read "Rainy Day People" you know right away what this sequal refers to. Amber is the main character of Rainy Day and Maine is the setting for much of the book. What makes the new book something you will want to add to your collection is it opens up the emotions of Rain Day with poems and thoughtful reflections that relate to the earlier story. It goes in between the words and widens the thoughts. It defines love. It should be on Amazon now.
Next is "Murder in the Pit." Now there is a show stopper! Let's just say you happen to be a violin player in the Metropolitan Opera for some twenty years and saw with your own eyes the drama unfolding among the orchestra members and the interesting lives they lived. Combine that with the imagination of a world class writer like Erica Miner, and what kind of an intreging story could she weave. In this case both are true. Erica has writing, soon to be published, this must read, not so cozy mystery that you won't be able to put down. Look for this one here when I get a copy for review.

As you know, I've been up to my ears in video taping episodes for The Writer's Loft. We have so much in production now, it will take a few weeks to finish what we have in pieces. I thought you might like to know where we are going. Here is a list of the episodes, five of which are on the air, with two more very close, and the rest booked and being worked:
The Crow's Nest - defines the series Wordsmiths - with Richard Lederer and Alan Russell Book Builders - with Bob Goodman Stringers - Freelance Journalism - with LinDee Rochelle Writers Ink - with Judy Reeves and Rob Williams Ghostwriters - with Andrea Glass and Dale Fetherling The Professional Pen - Dr. Diane Beach and SDSU Univ Press Literary Legalizes - with Mark Reichenthal (still open)
We may go another route after these episodes and do a studio round-robin show with local authors. This will expand the scope of our video projects with a new host and panel discussions. The authors will be booked through a local publicist. I know, crazy, huh. More on this, if it all comes to pass.
