More Dribble from the Pen of Wolf: August, formerly Sextilis, being the sixth month of the year, but when August became ruler, he needed to up his predecessor Julius, to which July got its name. August just had to be on the calendar. To get on the calendar nowadays, you only have to have a cause, relate to a war, or do something silly, like national donut day!
